So I have been studying and contemplating and trying to figure out, really figure out - why men have always held the power in the majority of civilizations throughout history (avoiding the religious citations - because we won't even go there and it was occurring even before modern religions times).

What magical roll of the dice chose men to be the Kings, the Monarchs, the Presidents. Why did giving birth and caring for the children make women second class?
You would think the mere miracle of being able to birth a child would hold some kind of reverence in itself.
So my goal with this blog is to try and figure out through history and anthropology, why this came to be. I will let you all know as I go along, my findings.

Who isn't afraid of a momma bear trying to protect her cubs? Women by nature have some amazing strengths within them - multitasking, attention to details, loyalty, protectiveness, and many more. Companies are starting to exploit women's innate assets rather than embellishing their liabilities. This is a brave and smart strategy which will only benefit those organizations as well as society as a whole.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••According to Businessweek, women hold 20% or less of leadership positions even though they make up 48% of the total workforce.

I am excited to see the possibilities for women in the workforce. I think it will be one of the major social shifts of our time. By my life's conclusion, I predict we will see a much more equatable division of leadership and influential positions among women and men.
