Power Less No More

We give away our power far too often

Our low self image may have been because of someone from our past, but that person is probably not around anymore; so stop giving away your power to them. Cease the control they hold over how you feel about yourself.

Power, or the perception of it, is the true determination of fair and equatable treatment.

Women have historically been exploited or oppressed; not per se for their sex but rather because of their powerlessness.

Animals prey on the weak and weed them out in a pack, it is basic animal nature.

Make your self powerful by believing in yourself and believing in your worth. You will notice a difference in the way others treat you. Others respect you when they see you respect yourself.

ProWoman NOT AntiMan

They are NOT Synonymous

Being "for something" does not have to mean you are "against" something else.

It is possible to want Empowerment of Women and the advancement of them without making it at the expense of men. The advancement of one class of people should not mean the oppression of another. How many wars would never have been fought if the oppressed had not then turned into the oppressors.

Abundance is not limited. Everyone benefits from equality. Individuals are then treated as such, rather than as a class.

Women will Advance in this country and in this world when they work together rather than against each other. If we could ever harness our collective power, some amazing things would happen.

EMPOWERMENT NOT BELITTLEMENT IS THE KEY TO ANY  ADVANCEMENT

First Lady Power

Dolley Madison (1849) was the first president's wife to have the title of First Lady and it has been used with every spouse since.

Many first ladies have been very Influential behind the scenes.
Sarah Polk (1845) secretly helped her husband write his speeches and gave him advise.

Edith Wilson(1915) actually assumed routine daily presidential responsibilities for her husband  when he had a stroke in 1919. She is referred to as the Secret President.

Eleanor Roosevelt(1933) was really the first openly influential president's wife. She was the first who turned the position from one of social entertaining to that of political involvement and philanthropy.

Hillary Rodham Clinton (1993) was the first President's wife that had her own political career independent of her husband before and after his presidential term.

Since the 1960's, First Ladies have been a different strain of wife than the U.S. capital had previously seen. In modern day administrations, they are expected to perform a full time and essential job to this country yet are not given monetary compensation for their duties.

Although a woman has not yet held the presidency, she does hold the President's respect and attention.

The first lady of the United States is at the time of her term, the MOST powerful woman in this country.

What's Your Worth?

 ♦ BELIEVEVALUEYOU ♦

Self Worth
is a major component in any empowerment. When we don't believe in ourselves, it makes it harder for others to believe in us. Self Worth is about affirming the goodness in yourself. As silly as it sounds - say to yourself right now, "I like me." If you say it enough - you will start to believe it and so will others.

We are undoubtedly our own worst enemies. We put ourselves down, don't believe in ourselves, and limit our own possibilities. There are a variety of reasons WHY women do this to themselves but they are all very damaging. There is enough erosion of the soul with everyday living, we do not need to contribute to it from within.

Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, an olympic gymnast, or a high powered lawyer - Believe in your own worth and Others will believe in you!
 YOU ARE WORTH IT

Attitude of Gratitude!

♥

Tell a Woman that has inspired you or that you have learned from, how much they have contributed to your growth. Write them a card, jet off an email, or give them a call.  Graciousness, Dignity, and Respect are all qualities that will always better a person as well as any situation. Even when facing opposition or challenge, staying true to these attributes will make a challenging situation better as well as will help in the resolution of conflicts.

So today, Thank an Important Woman in your life - let her know how she has impacted it. Make it a regular practice and you will see less conflict in your life and a change in any difficult relationship. Being the better person is contagious!

The Power of the Purse

Women innately possess Amazing Assets (and I'm NOT talking about your asses ladies) that prove to serve as a necessary component of any group; whether it be a family, company, or the community in general. We are needed in our communities and we need to be the ones to recognize that, even if it feels like no one else does at times.

Women in general are more people oriented and show greater concern for the individual, adept at mega Multi Task Management, as well as have a high attention for detail. Set out to recognize your strengths as a woman as well as those you possess as an individual. Become your own Personal Promoter ~ maximize your strengths while at the same time learn to minimize and strengthen your weaknesses.  You will soon develop yourself into an invaluable member of any group you are a part of.
