Project the Positive

Next time you are having a challenge with a coworker or supervisor, try projecting the positive into the situation.

Focus on a possible resolution to the conflict. Imagine a resolution and work towards that through projecting those ideas into the situation.

Use Statements such as:

"I know that we can come to a good working relationship.""I feel confident that we can overcome this challenge.""I am committed to making this a good working relationship."

"understand how you could feel that way."

You most likely will take them off guard and that is one of the biggest challenges to any resolution ~ people taking offense and putting up a defense.

The Will to Survive

It is hard at times to weather the difficulties of life.

It is often easier in the short term to just give up but you are robbing yourself of long term riches when doing so. NO one's life is free of heartache, loss, and despair. The attitude with which we choose to face life's difficulties however is the true test of character ~ some fail that test while others succeed.

They say the true gauge of a wonderful life is not how much you are given in life as far as blessings go but rather how well you overcome the challenges that present themselves as obstacles to a blessed life.

We may not have a choice of what happens to us in life BUT we always have a choice of how we let it affect us.

Always have the Will to Survive ~ Fight for a great Life and you shall be given it.

Keep On Keeping On

It is hard when life throws us Challenges. The highs are so much funner than the lows but it is all part of a cycle. Adversity is a part of life. Learning to embrace it and accepting its momentariness helps us make it through the tough times.

One of my favorite books when I was young was The Little Engine That Could. In the story, a toy train breaks down and a little blue engine comes along and offers to help. Despite the engines small size; she perseveres, takes it slow, and believes in herself. She tells herself - "I think I can - I think I can - I think I can" - and sure enough she makes it up the mountain.

Hold on tight during the tough ride up the steep hills of life because as soon as you get to the top, it's an easy ride back down the other side!
